Remember the heady days when former Sydney FC defender Pascal Bosschart and then Brisbane Roar striker Besart Berisha almost punched on?

Well they’re not over just yet. If the Hyundai A-League was WWE, here’s how it would look this round:

Bonevacia’s stone cold stunning-strike

Roly “The Rock” Bonevacia delivered a 30-yard finisher to a dazed and disorderly Adelaide United. The resulting count was 3-1 before the referee eventually rang the bell at 4-2 to Wellington.

Wanderers cause distraction to deliver City knock-out punch

Dario Vidosic and Scotty 2 Hotty Neville tag-teamed in offside positions to confuse the Melbourne City team members and successfully set up the Piovaccari Pedigree. Chaos ensued in and out of the ring as City complained to the referee, but the Wanderers won the match and as the count went to 3-0.

Jack McGing’s superkick finisher on Leondardo

Jack “Swagger” McGing skipped the niceties and went straight for the jugular, using a studs-and-all move that successfully eliminated a Newcastle Jets attacking threat (Leonardo) from the match. Unfortunately for McGing, the referee immediately threw him out of the match.

Henrique’s Leg Drop to return in match-winning style

After more than eight months on the sideline through injury, Hulk “Henrique” Hogan made a triumphant return for Brisbane Roar with a perfectly executed Leg Drop finisher that sealed their 1-0 win over Perth Gory. Henqriue has obviously been living by the motto: “Eat your vitamins!”

MAIN EVENT: Berisha’s Bullhammer brace wins the Big Blue

Besart “Bad News” Berisha stamped his authority on the league once again by delivering a double Bullhammer into the back of the Sky Blues’ net. Berisha’s match-winning brace rivalled Wayne Rooney’s smack on Wade “Bad News” Barrett (the creator of the Bullhammer) earlier in the week. Gui “Fandango” Finkler and Kosta “Bubba Ray Dudley” chipped in with devastating blows to round off a classic Big Blue victory. So is this Melbourne Victory faction the most dominant group of all time?
