As another week approaches Timmy will once again deliver his tips in the segment known as Timmy’s Tips.

Here are the five winners for this week.

Adelaide United v Sydney FC (Coopers Stadium)

Adelaide United look unstoppable at present and will be very difficult to contain in this encounter. They’re playing with excitement and supreme confidence allowing them to score plenty of goals. Sydney has lost their past two matches guaranteeing a lack of momentum entering this game. The Sky Blues must start fast otherwise, in front of a large Adelaide crowd, things could quickly get out of hand.
Prediction: 3-1

Brisbane Roar v CCM (Suncorp Stadium)

Despite their ladder positions this game actually looks relatively promising. The Mariners were impressive in their victory last week while Brisbane responded to a previous defeat emphatically. Brisbane certainly have more class than the Mariners but should Central Coast bring the same energy as last week, a result is certainly there for the taking.
Prediction: 2-1

Melbourne Victory v Western Sydney (Etihad Stadium)

The Docklands will light up for this blockbuster encounter between two of the league’s biggest clubs. Western Sydney’s season is travelling beautifully while the Victory continue their inconsistent struggle. Melbourne’s home form has been splendid however and they are yet to lose a game at both Ethiad or AAMI Park. This encounter will be thrilling and should provide plenty of action for both supporter groups.
Prediction: 2-2

Wellington v Perth Glory (Westpac Stadium)

Perth’s season remained alive last week with an inspiring victory over Melbourne. It gives the men in purple impetus and motivation to push on this week in a hope to catch the teams in the six. Wellington’s season has completely shut down after such a promising opening seeing them dramatically slide to eighth. Perth will triumph in a dull affair.
Prediction: 0-2

Newcastle Jets v Melbourne City (Hunter Stadium)

There will only be one winner in this and it’s certainly not the home side. There is just too much negativity surrounding the Jets to see them firstly getting up for the match and secondly performing for an entire 90 minutes. Melbourne City were relatively poor themselves for 75 minutes against Western Sydney last week. However City demonstrated their true ability in the final 15 minutes- and it was scary good. Expect a dominant performance from the away side and a convincing victory.
Prediction: 0-3
