Adelaide United produced a beautifully measured performance to claim a 3-0 victory over Perth Glory at nib Stadium.

The Reds were good value for the win with Marco Kurz’s wonderfully orchestrated side controlled in defense and attack throughout the entire ninety minutes.

Perth looked dangerous in periods of play but ultimately weren’t able to produce anything of worth in the final third.

The visitors struck inside ten minutes when Daniel Adlung calmly slotted Nikola Mileusnic’s square ball into the bottom corner.

Chris Harold went within inches of an immediate reply for Glory with a spinning effort from the edge of the box.

The goal sparked life into Perth who again came close when Diego Castro followed up Joseph Mills’ stinging 35-yard drive but the Spaniard fired over the top.

Glory were lucky not to be reduced to ten men after Andreu appeared to leave the ground in a two-footed tackle with referee Kurt Ams producing a yellow card.

Adelaide almost doubled its advantage when Liam Reddy failed to deal with Isaias’ whipped cross but Papa Diawara’s glancing header only found the crossbar.

Adam Taggart was introduced at halftime after missing eight matches through injury and made an instant impact finding Jacob Italiano but the youngsters cross alluded everyone after an adventurous run.

It was Adelaide’s half-time substitute Johan Absolonsen who made the crucial impact with a cutback finding Nathan Konstanopoulous who’s first touch made space for a clinical strike into the bottom corner.

It was then left to Absolonsen to seal victory when he contested with Reddy over a long ball seeing Perth’s keeper spill the ball into the Dane’s path who reacted quickly to finish from an acute angle.

It was a hugely disappointing result for Glory who were embarrassed 6-0 last week by Sydney FC with pressure continuing to mount on under fire coach Kenny Lowe.

Meanwhile Adelaide move into third place on the ladder temporarily after back-to-back wins and arguably its best performance of the season.
