Fury fight back

-

The day before North Queensland Fury take on reigning champions Sydney FC, they have done what the Sky Blues could not. Fury today boosted their squad, signing Striker Brad McDonald. The Queenslander is actually a defender, but was signed from Brisbane Strikers after a trial period that impressed Franz Straka.

On McDonald, Head of Football Operations Robbie Middleby said “Brad is a versatile left-sided footballer who can play in a number of positions across the park. He is someone we have been watching for some time, and during his trial with us, he showed the talent, character and attributes we look for in all our squad members both on and off the field.”

20-year old McDonald will wear number 3, and is the 6th player to be signed from the local Queensland talent pool.

In perhaps more exciting news for the club, the Fury today also announced a new 3-year sponsorship deal with People Resourcing. The deal is worth in excess of $450 000 over the three years, and is a significant step in the right direction for the club, who have battled financial hardship since the previous season. People Resourcing is to have naming rights for the match commentary on the local radio station, extensive branding on the northern grandstand, and will be the “Official Recruitment Partner” for the club.
