Since recently becoming official accredited media, The Football Sack have begun to enjoy the perks that go with being deemed ‘propa journos’. The first benefit we’ve received is being issued with an Hyundai A-league 2010/11 Season Guide.
It’s a fairly decent piece of kit – glossy, detailed, and with each individual club’s home/away season schedule.
Despite the fact that this week has brought many changes to venues and dates, it’s a very useful tool.
The interesting thing about the Season Guide is the front cover.
Each club is featured – their emblem emblazoned upon their supporter group (pictured). The problem is, this guide was issued at the start of the season at the A-league Launch. Who, then, are the fans so joyously wearing the red and white stripes behind the Melbourne Heart logo? We can only assume they are not the Heart faithful, but another set of supporters that wear the same strip. Sunderland perhaps? Do you know this fan group? If you have an idea, contact us and let us know – we’re perplexed!
The Football Sack, bringing you the hard-hitting stories that matter…
