Timmy’s Tips for Round 12 of the A-League

-

Christmas is almost upon us but more importantly so is Round 12 in the Hyundai A-League.

That means it’s time for another installment of Timmy’s Tips, the most unpredictable advice for football betting in Australia.

Last week Timmy’s Tips recorded a respectable 3/5. Hopefully that can be bettered this time out.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Newcastle Jets (Parramatta Stadium)

After a come from behind draw against Perth, Wanderers fans can expect a resounding response from their team on Thursday night. In front of a big home crowd Western Sydney should have little problems disposing of their opponents.

The Wanderers are still undefeated since Round Three and remain the best and most consistent team in the comp. Last time these side met the Wanderers scored two late goals to pinch a win. It shouldn’t be as stressful this time out.
Prediction: 3-0

Adelaide Utd v Wellington (Coopers Stadium)

Both sides were beginning to play some excellent football however disappointing draws last week may have somewhat dampened their momentum. United were impressive early against Newcastle but failed to capitalize on their chances. The Phoenix were outclassed for large periods by Sydney but were able to escape with a late point.

In front of their home crowd United should bounce back the better and record another valuable three points.
Prediction: 2-1

Sydney FC v Central Coast Mariners (Allianz Stadium)

Sydney looked better last week and will record a victory should they display similar football. Their inconsistency however will give Central Coast a sniff that an upset is possible. The Mariners were horrible in the first half against Brisbane but improved significantly after the break.

They attacked with more intent and seemed to have generated belief from somewhere. These characteristics will need to be on display if the Mariners are to taste victory.
Prediction: 2-0

Melbourne Victory vs Perth Glory (AAMI Park)

Melbourne Victory and their supporters will be absolutely furious with the way their season has unraveled in recent weeks and will demand a response. Perth defeated Victory just two weeks ago but unfortunately that won’t be happening again. On their home deck desperate to reinvigorate their campaign, Melbourne will hammer them.
Prediction: 4-0

Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne City (Suncorp Stadium)

These two outstanding teams will look to continue on in their quest for success. City are the most brutal side in the league at present while Brisbane have a resilience and calmness about them. It sets up a truly marvelous encounter. Very hard to pick a winner, an entertaining draw looks the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 1-1
