Macarthur FC’s Liam Rose says the fans in Campbelltown can expect an exciting brand of football from their new team.

Macarthur are in their inaugural season and Rose believes the fans should be excited for what the team can bring to the A-League.

“I think an exciting brand of football, possession based, hardworking and that fight to win and that’s what they can expect from us,” he said.

“To be a part of a new club in an area where there hasn’t been a team, to see the fans come out and get around the team is awesome and it’s massive for the area too.

“So were going to do our best to make it successful and we’ll work really hard so that happens.”

Rose came on as a substitute in their fixture against the Central Coast Mariners and was happy with the turn out

“I thought they were great, ringing their cowbells creates a good atmosphere,” he said.

“Even the fans getting into the game, I thought it was really good especially because it was our first home game.”

Rose is happy with the addition of Macarthur to the league and said he knew the fans would turn up for their side.

“It’s a great area, as you can see from the weekend we’re going to have a really good fan base and having those rivalries in Sydney that’ll add a lot to the league,” he said.

“And I think Macarthur is a great addition to the A-League and it’ll only get stronger and stronger.”
