Denis Genreau had the first chance of the match inside the 5th minute when his shot went comfortably into Andrew Redmayne’s gloves.

A fantastic save was produced by Adam Federici inside the 10th minute after a shot from Paulo Retre.

Genreau this time had a long-range effort in the 18th minute but it was stopped by Redmayne after it went straight towards him.

The Bulls captain Mark Milligan was shown a red card in the 21st minute after a challenge on Trent Buhagiar just outside the 18-yard box.

A tactical substitute was made by Macarthur after Milligan’s sending off, coach Ante Milicic  bringing in Anthony Golec for Tommy Oar.

An indirect free-kick cross saw Aleksandar Jovanovic go for header, however, it went over the bar in the 28th minute.

Markel Susaeta provided the chance for Loic Puyo to have a shot on goal which went wide in the 34thminute.

Susaeta did well to set himself up for a shot inside the box, but a good save from Redmayne denied the Bulls from opening the scoring in the 36th minute.

The game had to be delayed due to strong storms in Campbelltown area and the match was underway again at 8:50pm.

Matt Derbyshire thought he had put the Bulls in front in the 57th minute only to be denied by the offside flag.

Susaeta’s missed opportunity in 59th minute denied another chance for Macarthur to be in the lead.

It was the Sky Blues who would open the scoring in the 66th minute, substitute Patrick Wood scoring from the rebound save of Federici.

10 minutes after, Sydney found the second of the night through Milos Ninkovic.

At the other end of the park, Redmayne made himself large when he denied Lachlan Rose twice in quick succession in the 79th minute.

It went from bad to worse for the Bulls when Wood scored his second of the night to give Sydney a 3-0 lead in the 86th minute.

Macarthur had a number of chances in the game, but clearly felt the loss of their captain and ultimately failed to find the finished product. A 3-0 defeat is now their second loss at home, something the fledgling club will hope to overturn quickly.
