Sydney FC head coach Steve Corica says he is frustrated with his team’s inability to see out games after his team conceded two late goals in their 2-2 draw with Adelaide United.

Sydney FC was cruising for large portions of the game, thanks to a pair of goals from Brazilian striker Bobo in the 19th and 51st minute.

The game came to life late in the second half, when Adelaide scored through Jordan Elsey in the 75th minute. The goal shifted the momentum in Adelaide’s favour, and they scored again just minutes later through Tomi Juric in the 79th minute.

Sydney have dropped four points due to conceding late goals in two straight games. They would be leading the A-League if they had won these games, leaving Corica frustrated after the second occassion.

“[I am] a little bit frustrated at the moment. They know conceding two goals this week and one last week is costing us,” Corica said.

“[It’s] frustrating because we were in a very good position to win the game at 2-0 up. It feels like a loss for us. Picking up one point is not good enough at this point in time.

“Last week it wasn’t either. We need to beat teams above us if we want to finish where we want to which is on top … we are are a very good side and have the quality to win these games, and we should have won both of them.”

Compounding Corica’s frustration further was an injury time red card to Socceroos right back Rhyan Grant, after he brought down Adelaide winger Craig Goodwin in front of the goal.

“It was soft. Obviously, a little clip, he just tried to get at the back of him,” Corica said.

“I haven’t seen the replay – whether  ‘Gowza’ and ‘Wilko’ were close enough to get across – but I think it was a little bit soft.
