A listicle to knock your socks off

-

Well, it may not knock your socks off, but it will make you wish you had them.

Socks are the forgotten part of a football teams uniforms. Without them, your feet would ache, they would smell, and your shin guards would have no home.

We have ranked the best A-League kits this season, but we have overlooked what is the disregarded footballers essential.

Not every side have cool socks, or a pair that match perfectly with their kit, but check out whether your side made the cut.

5. Wellington Pheonix

While yellow may not be everyones cup of tea, they compliment what is already a stand out kit.

The best socks sometimes blend in rather than try and contrast with the design,  and the Nix socks are a prime example.

4. Macarthur FC

Just like their kit, these socks emphasise that sometimes less is more.

The inaugural kit’s clean white design is not ruined with stand out socks, instead complimented with the simplistic design. The black and gold stripe at the top gives them a little personality.

3. Western Sydney Wanderers

The stripes keep coming and they do not stop coming, red and black stripes they hit the ground running.

Hey now, these are all star, the picture says enough, hey.

2. Melbourne City

Blue skies and blue socks, these are beautiful.

The City blue could easily be number one, such is the beauty of its colour. Unfortunate not to be, at the end of the day it comes down to the other colour just being the greatest.

  1. Perth Glory

Much like the Glory’s jersey, which was ranked TFS’s number one home kit, purple really is such a cool colour. The kit’s colour gifts Perth top spot, they pull off the purple so well.

If you are looking for inspiration on your next 5-a-side uniform, suit up in Glory colours and your team will be sure to hit a purple patch.
