Bulls to hinder Glory’s chances of making finals

-

Perth Glory are fighting to enter the top six of the table to book a spot into the finals, but Macarthur FC can make their journey difficult with a win on Sunday.

Glory have recently been in hot form, winning their last four games which included a 5-1 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers and defeating fourth place Adelaide United 2-1.

This will be the third time this season that both sides have faced each other and Glory are yet to register a win against the Bulls, losing the first game back in April 2-1 and sharing a point after a 0-0 draw earlier this month.

Bulls coach Ante Milicic has noticed the improvement of the Perth side and the challenge that awaits them on Sunday.

“They’ve got an excellent roster, particularly the depth that they have,” he said.

“And also, they’ve got a lot of experience players in the front third and proven goal scorers.

“So, if you look at the results that they’ve achieved more so in the last month, but also their performances have been really good so their hitting form at the right time.”

It seems to be a difficult trip for teams when they face Glory at home, especially when they are in form, but Milicic was hopeful his team could get the three points.

“We had a difficult game against them three weeks ago and we know that Sunday will be difficult again,” he said.

“But as I said there’s no easy games, it’s on the day and we back ourselves to go there and put on a good performance and hopefully get the points.”

The 47-year-old has noticed his team training well in their nine-day gap and he was confident his squad could perform on the day.

“This is now the second time we’re going to Perth this month so it’s asking a lot from the players,” he said.

“But they’ve trained well and we’ve had good week on the park and we just need to now bring the that we’ve done on the training field on to matchday.”
