5 – Sydney FC’s ‘Watch at Home’ kit

As it sounds, the ‘Watch at Home’ kit is a pack that allows fans to enjoy the stadium atmosphere of a Sky Blue’s game from the safety of their homes.

It consists of various printable items including a flag, bunting and face cut-outs of five notable players. As clever as the idea is, it feels very similar to how fans celebrate a grand final match.

The only reason it takes the highest spot on the list is because the following four allow fans to still physically attend games, which we all know is better than being at home.

4 – Melbourne Victory face mask

A sleek and simple design. The Victory face mask is plain black, featuring a club logo of the top right side, and a Metricon sponsors logo on the left. The ear straps are also adjustable for the wearers comfort.

Unfortunately, these masks are no longer available and when you try to visit it says the page can not found, leaving it in fourth position.

However, the fact it allows fans to safely attend games means it’s not number five.

3 – Perth Glory face mask

Very similar to Victory, the Glory mask is a plain black, cotton mask with the club’s logo on the left of it.

While it also has adjustable straps, pushing it up the list is the fact that this mask features an extra internal pocket to allow wearers to insert an extra filter if they desire (or mid game snacks, whatever you prefer).

While the team may not be doing the best this season, the club has definitely aced stylish safety!

2 – Western Sydney Wanderers face mask

Following suit, the Wander’s mask is plain black with a club logo on the left-hand side.

As of May 2021, this seems to be the only design available however, when first released in September 2020 there was also a second design (as pictured below) that feature the club’s iconic red and black stripes on the right of the mask.

Wanderers received a bonus point for offering different design options.

1 – Melbourne city face mask

First on the ladder and first in the ranking, City has come in at number one with their reversible face mask.

As the name suggests this design is double sided, featuring two exciting designs for the price of one. One side copies the rest of the clubs as being black with a small City logo, while the other side is the team’s iconic pale blue with a larger print of the club’s logo. The mask also has a nose wire which is helpful in moulding the mask to better fit one’s face.

According to the website, the polyester mask also had moisture wicking properties that assisted in preventing the face from getting hot and sweaty under the mask, which is a common issue for most mask wearers. What’s not to love?!
