5 reasons to stop watching the A-League Men this season

-

The A-League Men is back for 2022/2023 and it’s got more pulling power than an Isuzu UTE.

It’s got more pulling power than you when you put on your good going-out shirt. It’s got so much pulling power it was drug tested after it competed in the tug’o’war.

Football is back. We’re done with that Australia Cup nonsense. Here’s why you should stop watching the A-League Men on telly and get to the ground this season.

The Star attractions

Sydney’s marquee might be closing but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get your star marquee fix after 2022. So call your Nani and get your tickets, this season is about to bang harder than a student from Hartley High.

You can watch it live

When you’re at the ground there’s no need for a rewind function, they’ll show the replay on the big screen, you duds. Except if it’s contentious or there was a nuddy run or something, then you’ll have to just deal.

So get your half-time hotdog, smash a tinny on your walk to the ground and get some football into ya.

It’s a hedge against inflation

The A-League Men is safer than houses, and that’s saying something with the economy the way it is. Stick your money in your membership fee, and watch the value of it grow as the season progresses.

Just make sure you go to all the games to get full benefit.

Schooners are out, pints are in

Suncorp Stadium are being encouraged to ditch the schooner for their three Brisbane Roar matches. It’s expected they’ll serve pints and call them a “Charlie Austin”. Gimme two charlies and a packet of burger rings, I’ve got a sokkah game to watch.

House that Kuol built

He may be off up the F3 to Newy, and then on a flight to England to play for Newcastle United, but this is the league where class players like this bloke hone their craft. It’s a better incubator than whatever they keep using in Jurrasic Park – guys quit it, it always goes wrong, why are you still pulling this shit after 20 years!?
