For the first time since covering the 2010/11 season, The Football Sack will not be covering the A-Leagues this year.
For the past 13 seasons, it has been TFS’s mission to provide a pathway for young, talented writers: having a structured program that allowed university students to get hands-on experience and to develop them into media professionals.
In that time, we have helped 114 graduates make the transition from university to the sports, media, and marketing world.
Recently, interest in our program has dropped so we are spending the 2023/24 season engaging with our university partners, donors, and students to shift the program in a way that fits the current needs of modern students.
Our program has been a fantastic pathway for writers to develop their skills, knowledge, and contacts but we need to shift to ensure it remains popular and relevant.
