The Football Sack is a voluntary website that aims to combine quality reporting with irreverence and humour – using social and digital media to build and improve upon the coverage of the Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League and football in Australia.
Since 2010 The Football Sack has hosted the works of football writers from across Australia. One of our primary objectives is to increase exposure for young journalists and allow them to grow their sports writing portfolio.

Along with news articles, match reports and other written content, The Football Sack commentates every game of the Hyundai A-League live through our @TheFootballSack account which in 2012 and 2013 won the FFDU Award for Best Use of Social Media.
Our podcast, featuring over 100 episodes, won Best Football Podcast in 2011, 2012 and 2015 in the FFDU Awards.
