It took until round three but the deadly duo are back to their blistering best, after combining for all of the Glory’s goals in a 3-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers at Dorrien Gardens last night.
But it was Hill who stole the show, with two goals of supreme calibre.

Last season Kerr and Hill combined for 22 goals, scoring 13 and 9 respectively with Kerr taking out the golden boot.
But Hill is confident of spoiling the party for Kerr this season.
“Yeah, you know, I’ll give her a little competition,” she said, in a tongue in cheek jab at her strike partner post match.
“We’re getting in the groove, and it showed tonight.
“It’s so easy to play with [Kerr], it’s so fun to play with her.
“I wait around all year just to play with her again.
“Definitely going back to how it was last year, and hopefully we can score as many goals.”
Her left foot was the weapon of choice as she leathered both goals into the top corner: one from long rage at a ridiculous angle, and the other after a deft first touch that oozed class, allowing her to turn and cannon the ball off the crossbar and into the net.
It was the night she laid down a marker of what was to come.
A strike partnership of equal contribution with Kerr where she stands alongside, not behind, the greatest Australian striker of our generation.
Hill’s performance against the Wanderers earned the praise of Glory coach Bobby Despotovski.
“Both of them are screamers,” Despotovski said, reflecting on Hill’s two goals.
“She [was] brought here for one reason, it’s to compliment Sam and score goals,” he said.
“Both things she did tonight.”
The threat of the Glory’s strike force is something Wanderers coach Dan Barrett said they aimed to curtail, but couldn’t handle on the night.
“Their front three probably with Sydney’s are nearly the best front three in the league,” he said.
“They’re all quick, they’re all dangerous and they can finish.
“Absolutely a threat tonight, and good players.”
Kerr’s quality finish into the roof of the net from the centre of the box is bound to be forgotten on a night where Hill stole the show.
And when Perth local Kerr runs out in front of her home crowd, scores, and isn’t the star of the show, it’s a clear indication that something truly remarkable must have taken place to steal the headlines.
Quick, strong and deadly in front of goal, Hill is a worthy match for Kerr at the point of the Glory’s attack, and can push her all the way in the race for the W-League golden boot.
