Game Review | Adventures of Yoshi

-

The shark jumping obsession with Pokemon GO has reared it’s ugly head in the A-League with the upcoming release of a Nintendo game that features a character that will fill fans around the country with nostalgia.

Borrowing from Pokemon’s successful tagline “gotta catch ’em all”, in this new console game Yoshi – featured in games such as Mario Kart, Super Mario, Mario Goes to Walmart and Mario No You Didn’t – attempts to support all ten A-League teams in a single season.

Pirates, helicopters and cannons all feature in what’s expected to be called “Adventures Of Yoshi The 10 Year Old Dragon”, but it’s yet to be revealed who the boss will be at the final level.

Many believe it will be Kevin Muscat, who’s special attack will be slide tackling from the bench. Others suggest Tim Cahill will befriend Yoshi, lure him into a false sense of security and then box him harder than a corner flag.

Regardless, the game will be released this Friday at Suncorp Stadium to tie in with kickoff of the new football season.
