Have you ever wondered which A-League club is the embodiment of certain Brooklyn Nine Nine character? Me neither.
The point is, The Football Sack sets some really weird assignments for me and you’ve clicked on this. So here we are…
If you’re an A-League fan but not a Brooklyn Nine Nine fan, I highly suggest you have a look, it’s hilarious and quite a good watch. And if you’re a Brooklyn Nine Nine fan and not an A-League fan, then I highly suggest you have a look, it’s hilarious and quite a good watch.
Charles Boyle – Central Coast Mariners
Boyle is a goofy, klutzy, loveable character in the show. Despite his good nature and attitude, things just never seem to go his way. While he often provides a laugh for the audience, you have to feel sorry for him too.
Rosa Diaz – Melbourne Victory
An attractive and frightening force on the field, Rosa is the bad-ass scary “tough guy” on the squad. She’s hot headed and doesn’t hold back from letting people know what she thinks of them
Hitchcock and Scully – Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers
Two ageing detectives, most of what they do these days involve sitting in their chairs and not doing much. In fact, it’s in everyone’s best interests that they don’t go onto the field. While they were both once top class detectives, they are now just the butt of jokes for the whole precinct.
Jake Peralta – Melbourne City
Jake is described in the first episode as “the precinct’s best detective.” Despite this, Jake somehow manages to constantly screw up, and that’s what most of the episodes focus on – Jake fixing what he screwed up. Just like Melbourne City so they can “finally” have a title challenge.
Amy Santiago – Adelaide United
The hard worker in the squad. She is just as good of a detective as Peralta, and she puts more of her work into her actual job rather than cracking jokes. However, she is also criticised by some, especially Gina, for being boring.
Raymond Holt – Perth Glory
Although one of the most talented captains around and managing to lower crime in the nine nine’s precinct, Holt has had a long tough road to the top. He’s come from some very low places but has thoroughly deserved his new place at the top.
Gina Linetti – Wellington Phoenix
Gina is Holt’s secretary, making her the only non-detective main cast member of the show and an outsider. She’s also sassy and unafraid to let people know her somewhat damning opinions of them. Also, in true Phoenix fashion, during seasons five and six, she only shows up for half of them.
Terry Jeffords – Sydney FC
A very solid sergeant, he’s been at the top for a long time and is one of the most rugged and ripped men you’ll see. You go out on the field with Jeffords? Anyone opposing him will be terrified of him.
